Renault Vans gain market share in home country
Recent announcements from Renault about their price reduction in 2011 for their car range has caused quite a stir in the automotive industry, this has overshadowed the firm’s achievements in the van sector.
Renault has for a few years now been the best van seller across European countries but has always struggled in the UK. About a year ago Renault bosses decided to attack its home market with the aim to increase market share. So far, it looks as though their renewed focus and strategy has worked, so far this year sales are up a massive 66% and market share has increased to 4.5%. It should be no surprise then that last month Renault was awarded the title of Most Improved Manufacturer in the coveted Fleet Van awards.
How did Renault achieve this staggering growth both in unit sales and market share? First and foremost Renault opened a series of Pro+ centres aimed specifically at van fleet buyers; these centres add a lot of value, such as free advice and longer opening hours.
To build on this Renault then launched a series of tasty new models such as the revamped Master and Kangoo vans. While Renault’s competitors have been introducing separate news vans, Renault has simply launched one vehicle and given it three different lengths, thus making the Compact, standard and Maxi vans.
Renault has also added some nice gadgets to its van range including TomTom navigation units and air-con, as well as body coloured bumpers and fog lights. With the emergence of new Renault van models, I have seen an increase in the number of <a href=”http://www.channelcommercials.co.uk/UsedCars”>used Van Kent</a> stock, which means it’s a good time to buy a used van for your business.
